Currently Dr. Al Carroll is Assistant Professor of History in the Communications and Human Studies Division at Northern Virginia Community College in Sterling, Virginia since 2010, teaching American, American Indian, and Latin American history. Dr. Carroll was also a Fulbright Senior Scholar at Hasanuddin University in Makassar, Indonesia, where he taught History of Tribal Peoples and other courses in history, as well as guest lectures. Prior to that he taught at Arizona State University, San Antonio College, St. Phillip’s College, and Northeast Lakeside College. He is the author of four books and numerous articles published at Articles Base, The Beacon, Bristle, Counterpunch, History News Network, Indian Country Today, Indybay.org, LA Progressive, Southwestern Historical Quarterly, and Wall Street Examiner.
